Academic Experience
- 09/2007 – present research assistant, mainly doing some research on multi-core parallelization of scientific applications at CACS of USC. (http://cacs.usc.edu), using spatial decomposition, dual representation for critical section free, MPI+Pthread+SIMD optimization framework, on Cell_be based platform, GPU CUDA, Blue Gen L and P, general dual QuadCore cluster.
- 09/2006 – 03/2007 research assistant, mainly did some research on Probe Design for Genchip at NCIC of ICT, Chinese Academy of Sciences(http://www.ncic.ac.cn/en/index_e.htm),use Bayes theory and spaced seed to predict the best probe.
- 08/2005 – 02/2006 research assistant, mainly did some research on Algorithm Optimization of Multiple Sequence Alignment(MSA): reduced MSA to Tree Accumulation, paralleled it on ourcluster and proposed a load balancing strategy to improve the performance at NCIC of ICT, Chinese Academy of Sciences(http://www.ncic.ac.cn/en/index_e.htm).
- 02/2004 – 08/2004 research assistant, mainly did some Performance tuning and evaluation on Opteron Platform, and took part in the High Performance Linpack testing of the super computer Dawning 4000, which ranked top10 in the TOP500 list in year 2004 at NCIC of ICT, Chinese Academy of Sciences(http://www.ncic.ac.cn/en/index_e.htm).
- Summer of 2008 done summer intern in Emerging Technology. Technical Computing, ETC of Chevron, optimize 36 points Stencil Problem for Seismic Simulation on dual cell-BE QS22.
